I began in broadcasting as a DJ at the age of 13 at a radio station in Eugene, Oregon. I shot my first 16mm film in high school and was a reporter/shooter on KVAL-TV during a college summer break. We used to shoot our "stand-ups" by putting the camera on a tripod and then running around in front of the lens to shoot the story 'intro''. The first "selfies" were shot by small market reporter/camerapersons.
